All audition songs must be brought to the audition on a CD that can be played on a CD player (please check this ahead of time) or you can bring the track on your phone. It can be a simple piano accompaniment or a “karaoke” style CD, but it needs to be a clear, well recorded accompaniment. Traditional karaoke style tracks are recommended, as long as the lead singer is not “singing along” with you. All contestants must sing with a recording for the audition. You will be refused an audition without a karaoke track or non-working CD or phone track, and your entrance fee is non-refundable. No live instruments will be accepted and “a cappella” auditions will not be permitted. We will provide a CD player, phone jack and a microphone. Dress for the audition is casual.
AUDITIONS: JUDGING
Singers will be judged on their vocal ability, presentation, and overall enthusiasm. Highly qualified judges will listen to and evaluate your audition, and will respond in a polite, professional fashion.
